Project Address
Tianmushan Road, Xihu District
This project is an extension of the OōEli axis northward, focusing on a pedestrian-first approach to transform the street space. Rather than relying on text, the wayfinding system communicates through scene-based icons that respond to specific spatial contexts. This approach replaces direct verbal instructions with a light and approachable tone, reducing the sense of unfamiliarity. In the wayfinding design, we explore new material connections through a lighter approach to linking the district. Stones—drawn from nature and placed within the urban street—become small, distributed nodes that connect fragmented areas, allowing the district to come together as an organic whole.
